The family of the American actress who plays Claire Daness on HBO’s House of Cards are raising money to help their children, who have special needs.
Claire Danes, 33, has appeared on the hit show, and she and her parents, the former reality star, and her brother, actor Beau Biden, have been featured on the Emmy Award-winning series since its debut in 2016.
The family, who were recently named the 2016 White House Emmys’ Most Inspirational Parents, are raising funds to provide for Claire and Beau’s needs, The Hill reported on Thursday.
The Danes also plan to raise money to send their daughters to a private school, and to help with college tuition.
The Hill reported that the family is seeking donations of $1,000 per month from anyone who can make a financial contribution, up to $100,000.
They are also working to get funds for their three children, ages 5, 9, and 13, to attend private schools.
